Exploring Ripe Persimmons in Moc Chau for Just VND 1.1 Million per Person
1. Transportation
I traveled from Hanoi to Moc Chau by sleeper bus operated by Xuan Trang Limousine. It took approximately 4 hours to reach the destination.
2. Accommodation
- In Moc Chau, there are numerous homestays to choose from, with prices ranging from 500k to 1 million depending on the season and the number of people.
- For this trip, I selected "The November" homestay as my place of rest. It is located about 2.5 km from the center of Moc Chau town, which is convenient for transportation, and it has a beautiful backyard.3. Travel Itinerary
Day 1:
- Traveled from Hanoi to Moc Chau
- Stored luggage at the homestay and then snaped some photos at Doi Co 68, a grassy hill.
- Afterward, moved to the tea hill for photographing (I can't remember the exact location, but it was near the heart-shaped tea hill).- Returned to the homestay for check-in and had lunch.
- In the afternoon, visited the plum garden in the Cho Long small area of Moc Chau farming town.
- In the evening, returned to the homestay, had dinner, and enjoyed a campfire.
Day 2:
- Had breakfast at the homestay and explored a bit.
- Visited Hang Tau (you can find it on Google Maps: Moc Chau primitive village).
- Headed back to the homestay for check-out and left our luggage for further exploration.
- Had lunch in Moc Chau town.
- Headed to Van Ho for getting a snapshot of famous S-shaped road.
- Then, returned to the homestay and took a bus back to Hanoi.
4. Expenses
- Transportation from Hanoi to Moc Chau, accommodation, breakfast, dinner, and scooter rental: 990k (I contacted the homestay in advance to book a package).
- Scooter rental and Hang Tau entrance fee: 130k.
- Entrance fee to the plum garden: 30k.
(Note: The costs and itinerary apply to two people; for larger groups, expenses may be even lower.)
I've heard that there're currently off-season plums in Moc Chau, so you can plan to visit both ripe persimmon gardens and plum orchards. I wish everyone a great and enjoyable trip.
Thanks for sharing and the beautiful photos, Bui Quang Thuy.
