The sculpture of Uma and Maheshwar in the Madras Museum. It dates back to 9th-10th century CE, during the reign of Nolamba Dynasty. Nolambas ruled from 8th to 12th centuries over an area traditionally called Nolambavadi which extended over south-east Karnataka, parts of Tamilnadu & Andhrapradesh.
