Home Style 🍃Pudina Sadam(mint rice), no intro required for pudina sadam it’s everyone's favorite #kalandasadam variety. The specialty of this pudina sadam has no biryani spices used, no onion or garlic. Best for packing lunch or while traveling!
Mostly we pack lemon rice or puli sadam while traveling but some people get acidity after having those rice varieties. In that case, we can make this pudina rice good for digestion and also will stay for a long. Packed this rice with mandara ellai for Hubby. Potato roast and Pudina Sadam are a must-try combo. Do try and let me know.
📝Simple Pudina Sadam recipe,
1️⃣Cook 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of water. Once cooked cool down completely. Keep aside. You can use leftover rice too.
2️⃣Into a mixie jar add 1 pit full of fresh mint leaves, coriander leaves, a few curry leaves, 4 green chilies, small piece of ginger + ¼ cup water grind it to a fine paste
3️⃣Heat a pan and add 1 tbsp oil, add 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp chana dal, 4 dried red chilies, and 10 cashews roast them till they turn golden.
4️⃣Add the freshly ground puree and then cooked rice 1/2 tsp lime juice + 1 tsp salt and mix well.
✅️Keep in low flame and mix well. That’s it pudina Sadam ready!
🔥I used seeraga samba rice you can use basmati rice too.
🔥Adjust the spiciness according to your tastebuds.
