Aid convoys destined for desperate Palestinian civilians have begun reaching Gaza, as relief workers said far more aid was needed to address the spiraling humanitarian crisis. Half of Gaza’s 2.3 million people have fled their homes as the Israel-Hamas war rages.
The U.N. agency charged with shuttling humanitarian aid into Gaza says it will need to significantly reduce and possible halt operations if fuel does not get to Gaza immediately. More than 613,000 people are sheltering in 150 agency facilities across Gaza.
