💡 A startup based out of Nagpur is changing the trajectory of following traffic rules and regulations. The company "Traffic Rewards" is revolutionising how traffic regulation works in the country by introducing rewards for those drivers who make it a point to follow the traffic rules. 💡 According to The Times of India, the company displayed its startup at the 108th Indian Science Congress Exhibition; a pilot was launched with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Nagpur Municipal Corporation on West High Court Road in Nagpur. The mapping devices were installed at the various traffic signals, and the company ensured its rigorous testing. 💡 The company uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology for those curious about how the rewards system works. They have fitted these devices on traffic signals on the test site. Moreover, a tag will be given to the citizen hooked to the app, which will be placed on the vehicle. Whenever this tagged vehicle passes a device hooked up to the traffic signal, the RFID would note that the driver has followed the traffic rules.
