Kashmir - Best time to Visit? 🌿 APRIL Spring blossoms.Perfect for “Greenery Lover”. Lush green all around -Some snow only at the heights(Till May mid) Thajiwas, Gondola, ZojiLa -One of the peak tourist months because many visit to see: the Tulip garden in its full bloom(March last- April 3rd wk), lush green meadow + white snow mountain together, neither too hot nor too cold 🌿 MAY TO SEPT - MID Offbeat places like Gurez, Bungus, & Lidderwat just opens around May 1st(till Oct end) -Perfect for “Greenery Lover”. Lush green meadows all around till Sept mid. -May to June end- Valley looks so pretty with flowers all over meadows, later flower disappears but lush green intact. -July 1st week onward- trek like Tarsar & KGL starts(till Sept Mid). -Very less rain in July-Aug 🌿 SEPT-MID TO OCT-END Strictly- Not my favourite -Greenery lovers will not like as the greenery has already started fading away. -Water in the river has already started reducing -Not the best time for Gurez, as valley will start getting closed slowly & the view starts fading away from Sept-end -Surprisingly, there is a heavy influx of tourism in Oct due to Dusshera vacation. 🌿 OCT-END TO NOV-MID Good time for Autumn Color lovers (red hues🍁) -Dachigam,Nishat Bagh,Naseem Bagh looks gorgeous in Autumn colours -Greenery lovers will not like the landscape at all, as Pahalgam+Sonmarg looks very off, dull & hazy. 🌿 NOV-MID TO DEC 20th Dull & hazy -Occassional snowfall(2-3 times a month). So thick snow blanket at top-Thajiwas, Gondola, Zoji La while thin snow at the meadows of Gulmarg,Sonmarg 🌿 DEC-END TO FEB 20th The best time for snow & live snowfall. -Jan 1st to Feb 3rd wk- snowfall is very intense & frequent -Jan mid to Feb mid has the best winter landscape(Drang/Aharbal well frozen) 🌿 MARCH -March 1st to 20th Thick snow around but extremely rare snowfall Summary: Lush Green+Spring Blossoms+Some Snow at top: April 1st to 3rd Wk Lush Green+Flower over meadows+Gurez: May to June End Lush Green+Gurez: May to Sept-Mid Lush Green+Gurez+Alpine lake Trek: July 15th to Sept-Mid Autumn: Nov 1st to Nov 20th Snowfall:Jan 1st to Feb 3rd Wk.
