महाकाल लोक (कॉरिडोर) ❤️ - Mahakal Lok 📍 The freshly built hallway in the Mahakaleshwar temple premises, which is almost 900 meters long, has been given the name"Mahakal Lok" It is dotted with 108 elaborate sandstone columns, each of which has Lord Shiva "mudras" on its face and a beautiful "trishul" pattern on top. According to reports, the Mahakaleshwar temple corridor project cost roughly Rs 856 crore. 53 lit paintings illustrating Shiv Puran tales flank the hallway. 📍 Sandstone from the Bansi Paharpur region of Rajasthan was used to build the buildings in the corridor. Artisans and craftspeople primarily from Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Orissa worked on chiseling and decorating rough stones into beautiful pillars and panels. 📍 A little distance from the beginning of the corridor, two imposing gates, Nandi Dwar and Pinaki Dwar, these Two majestic gateways separated by a short distance, have been erected near the starting point of the corridor, which winds its way to the entrance of the ancient temple and offers aesthetic views along the way. 📍 Two grand gateways, a majestic colonnade of 108 ornate pillars made of intricately carved sandstones, gushing fountains, and a running panel of over 50 murals depicting stories from Shiv Puran are among the major highlights of the 'Mahakal Lok' in Ujjain.
