🌿 Hemkund Sahib is the highest gurudwara in the world. Located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, it is accessible via trek. . 🌻 Day 1- The trek begins from Govindghat. You reach Ghangaria which is the base for Hemkund trek. Here all the lodging and eating facilities are available. It takes around 5 hours to reach Ghangaria from Govindghat. . 🌼 Day 2- Start early from Ghangaria for Hemkund Sahib. The trek is a little steep so it requires all your strength and will-power. If you are middle aged or someone who is mentally or physically not prepared to do the trek, you can book ponies at the pony station. On pony you may reach Hemkund in around 2 hours whereas on foot it takes almost 4 hours.
