❌ Fascinating or intimidating? What are the first associations?
⠀
❌ This is Annen Kirchen, an active Lutheran church. Once upon a time there was a fire here, and it completely burned out.
❌ In Soviet times, the temple was closed and converted into a cinema. Later, services were resumed, but on weekdays they continued to play movies. The new owners decided to set up a nightclub here, then the government decided to return the building to the Lutheran church, and almost immediately there was a fire. Doesn't sound like an accident, does it? looks like revenge of the owners of a failed business.
❌ Revenge has turned out. The facades were restored only 8 years later. However, the interiors were left burnt inside - and this made Annen Kirchen a place literally unique. I came here for the first time 5-6 years ago and was very impressed.
❌ Inside there is a small museum, a concert hall, a cafe, where not only divine services are held, but also Christmas fairs, exhibitions, concerts of classical and not only music. The entrance is free.
❌ About filming. You can shoot something for yourself freely, but a full-fledged photo session will cost 2000 re for half an hour or 3000 for an hour. There are a lot of people, very much! In my experience, this is always the case: immediately after the opening, and in the evening, and on weekends, and even on weekdays. Well, maybe on weekdays during working hours a little easier, but not much.
