Travel experience in Europe from head to tail
Traveling to Europe in recent years is no longer a distant dream for many Vietnamese. However, not all of us have the time or financial resources to visit the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. 🔷 EUROPEAN TRAVEL VISA (SCHENGEN AREA) Most countries in the Schengen area do not accept free tourist visas for Vietnamese citizens without a guarantor's invitation, except France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain. Therefore, if you want to apply for a European tourist visa, you can go to the embassy or visa reception center of one of these four countries in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.
👉 When completing paperwork, remember that if you ask for a visa at any embassy, that country must be the first destination in the Schengen area or the longest place of stay throughout the trip. 🔷 EUROPEAN TOURIST VISA APPLICATION
▪ If you are on a European tour, you must prepare the following paperwork at least 30 days before departure. Dossier requesting a copy of the original within three months, with notarization certification.
▪ If you are traveling to Europe on your own, you will need to bring the following papers in addition to the ones listed above: Book round-trip airfare, a hotel reservation, and a detailed travel itinerary. Choose hotels that offer free cancellation and charge only when you stay.
▪ When booking airline tickets to Europe, ask the ticket agent to reserve your seat, then cancel the purchase (if you don't want to buy that ticket). Cancellation may cost a fee, but it is negligible compared to the cost of the airfare.
In addition to the necessary documentation, the more complete some information is, the more likely it is that a Visa will be issued.
EUROPEAN VISA APPROVAL TIME
Usually 15 days, but up to 30 days if records require additional verification. Verification might take up to two months in some situations.
👉 VISA APPLICATION COST: If you apply on your own, the fee is 60 Euros. Converted into VND at the embassy's established exchange rate, which may change from time to time. If you use an agency to apply for a visa, the service price is usually USD 80 per application, without counting the above-mentioned European visa application fee.
🔷 WHERE SHOULD YOU GO WHEN TRAVELING TO EUROPE?
Recommended tours
East, West, South, North, and Central Europe are the four regions of Europe (intersection between Eastern and Western Europe). Southern Europe should be your priority since it has more fun, gorgeous seas, and more things to behold, such as Italy, France, Spain, and Greece.
The climate in the Nordic countries (Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Sweden) is severe, and everything is more expensive. Western Europe is represented by Germany, Belgium, and Monaco, while Eastern Europe is represented by Russia. Budapest is a magnificent city in Central Europe, while Prague (Prague) is likewise beautiful yet melancholy. Prague is also cheap compared to other countries and equivalent to luxury in Vietnam. Many people like to travel to Western Europe: Luxemburg and Austria (Vienna city).
Highlights that visitors can choose from: ✅ Architecture: Italy, France, Spain (Gaudi architecture) ✅ Cuisine: Italian, French, Belgian, Spanish ✅ Culture and art: Italy, France, Netherlands (Amsterdam) ✅ Nature: Norway (see Fjords), Switzerland (Alps), Italy ✅ Romance for couples: Italy (Venice), Belgium (Bruges is known as Venice in the North), Hungary (Budapest), Czech (Praha) TIME SUITABLE FOR EUROPEAN TRAVEL 👉 January: Western New Year is one of the biggest holidays of the year to connect with friends and party in Europe 👉 February is the month of great festivals throughout Europe (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.) 👉 April: The season of Easter and tulips (Netherlands) 👉 May: Low tourist season, warmer weather (favorite month) 👉 June-August: High tourist season, perfect weather, many festivals and events. September-November: Low tourist season (except in Germany due to Oktoberfest in September-October) 👉 December: Christmas season
🔷 PREPARE YOUR LUGGAGE FOR THE EUROPEAN TRAVEL 1. Clothing: clothing that is feasible for movement (T-shirts and jeans are best). Bring just one warm, thick coat in the winter (additional scarf, hat, waterproof boots if it snows). For ease of mobility, you should wear shoes with soft soles. 2. Travel accessories: Sunglasses, umbrella, waterproof bag for your phone if traveling in the sea 3. Electronic equipment: camera, power bank, adapter socket (limited to bringing a selfie stick)
🔷 OTHER THINGS TO KNOW 👉 Language: Any European nation may be navigated with ease with fluent English communication. German and the trinity of Spanish, French, and Italian are also widely spoken. 👉 Currency: Outside of the EU, the following nations do not utilize the euro: the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Sweden, Norway, Latvia, Lithuania, and Switzerland. Do not change money at the airport and at suspicious points. Always check the exchange rate and commission before redeeming 👉 Culture: greetings (shaking hands or hugging), queuing in public places, eating quietly, and limiting noise in public places in Germany & Northern Europe. 👉 Crimes: theft in tourist-heavy nations (France, Italy, Spain, etc.); Prostitution and drug usage in countries where cannabis is legal, and prostitution (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium); illegal immigrants. Above are the most general European travel experiences travelers need to know. In addition, you can refer to more information about destinations, festivals, air tickets, and Europe tours.
