From iTunes to Apple Music and Spotify, they’ve bagged spots on them all. The latest addition to their achievements comes on Billboard. ✨ According to Billboard's most recent update, Blackpink’s second full length album Born Pink has bagged the top spot on the Top 200 Albums chart. This makes them the first K-pop girl group to achieve this milestone. With 102,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending September 22, they are now the third K-Pop group to top the Billboard 200 in 2022, following BTS and Stray Kids. ✨ Additionally, they are the first female group to rank atop the Billboard 200 since 2008. They have also become the first female group to simultaneously debut at #1 on the US and UK albums charts following Destiny's Child in 2001! And as if that's not enough, they are the only female group and the second female act to debut #1 on Billboard 200 this year. ✨ However, this isn't their first achievement on the Billboard charts during this era! The girl group’s pre-release single Pink Venom dominated atop Billboard’s Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. chart for weeks. The songs is still making waves on the charts. ✨ Meanwhile, Blackpink made their comeback on September 16 with their second full-length album, Born Pink. This marks their first album in almost two years, following the release of their first full-length album, The Album, in October 2020.
