Two Australian universities have separately announced bans on the intake of students from some Indian states citing concerns over a rise in fraudulent visa applications.

◾ A 14-year-old girl student has emerged as the prime suspect for a major fire incident which happened recently at the Mahdia Secondary School in #Guyana.

◾ 19 children had died in the unfortunate incident after their dormitory was set on fire.As per reports, the girl suspect allegedly committed the crime after her cellphone was confiscated by school authorities.

◾ WHO chief Tedros Ghebreyesus has warned that the world should be ready for the next pandemic, which might be “even deadlier” than the Covid19 pandemic.

◾ Tedros's statement comes days after the WHO said Covid-19 was no longer qualifies as a global emergency, marking a symbolic end to the devastating pandemic that has claimed at least 7 million lives worldwide.
